Dr.Lemuel Grimes, founder and director of the International Tract Ministry, has gone home to be with the Lord after a prolonged illness.
Dr.Grimes had been in failing health for the past few years.
After retiring from full time pastoral duties, Dr.Grimes and his family became members of the Downriver Baptist Temple and as a result of this the Tract Ministry evolved into an outreach within the church.

In 2003, Dr.Grimes, due to failing health, relingquished full time involvment in the Tract Ministry and coordinated a transition of the Tract Ministry full time duties to the Downriver Baptist Temple located in Lincoln Park, Michigan.This ministry was and continues to be an outreach of the Downriver Baptist Temple and the Lord continues to bless this great ministry with your support.

After the transition of the Tract Ministry duties, Dr.Grimes and his family decided to sell their home in Michigan and relocate to Hohenwald, Tennesee, because they had relatives located there. Dr.Grimes continued to devote time in the ministry in a consulting capacity until he developed health issues earlier this year.

We here at Downriver Baptist Temple praise our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for this ministry and the countless souls who have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their own Lord and Saviour and developed a personal relationship with him.

We thank the Lord for Dr.Grimes and the many years of dedicated service to this ministry and his tireless commitment as a personal soul winner. He was a humble man and dedicated christian who served the Lord he loved. He will be missed.

We ask that you pray for his family during this difficult time and also for this ministry....Dr.Grimes has gone home to be with the Lord, but through his vision and burden for lost souls, the Tract Ministry will continue, with your prayers and support, to flourish and grow and illuminate his original vision....that lost souls will come to the saving knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
