You prayed, and the Lord has answered.
In our newsletters we requested that you remember the International Tract Ministry, and you obviously did just that, for we have witnessed His power in answers beyond all we had asked or thought. Look at this list and rejoice with us:
Twenty-three million Gospel Tracts sent out through the decade of the 1990s. God empowered us to be able to send out twenty-three million Gospel Tracts in the decade of the 1990s. That means that we surpassed our goal of twenty million Gospel Tracts by three million. PRAISE THE LORD!
Funds to pay for this expanding Gospel tract ministry. We attempt to keep this ministry as a "Pay-as-you-go" type of operation. So far this year that is where we are. Supporters — friends in the Lord like you — have kept us supplied with the funds to take us this far. Actually, we could have sent out many more Gospel tracts if we had more funds available. Perhaps you could add this to your prayer list as you remember us in the future. The Lord has given us people within our own church, the Downriver Baptist Temple of Lincoln Park, Michigan, to help us in the ordering and mailing of the thousands of our news letters. God meets the needs.
Nearly forty years ago when the Lord saved me and my wife, Carmie, at the Akron Baptist Temple in Akron, Ohio, under the ministry of Dr. Dallas Billington, I had no idea that some day He would be willing to use us to literally spread the Gospel around the world in this manner. At that time it would have been unthinkable that we would have an open door like this. But now, here we stand before a door that only God could have opened — a door that leads to millions of souls in many countries.
We are also receiving scores of letters from Nigerian Christians, missionaries in Central America, South America, and Asian countries, requesting more Gospel Tracts. One of the most thrilling occurrences is when we open the mail and inside the envelope is a Gospel Tract signed on the back by a new convert, and a letter of praise with a request for a supply of Gospel Tracts to be given to other souls by the new convert.
It may be that you may distribute Gospel Tracts or that you and your people can give funds to make it possible for others to distribute them.
Perhaps YOU could be the one to send one million Gospel Tracts to Brazil, or Haiti, or the Philippines. Perhaps the Lord has laid on your heart another area and Missionary, or even some great city, or area, in the United States, to target with one million Gospel Tracts.
